Congratulations to all 23 Middleton High School music students for their exceptional achievement in being selected for the WSMA High School State Honors Music Project. It's truly impressive that they represent the largest student group in the state, showcasing the strength and talent of Middleton's music programs.
The opportunity to perform at the Wisconsin State Music Conference is a significant honor and speaks volumes about their dedication and musical expertise. The WSMA State Honors Music Project's national recognition underscores the exceptional quality of this experience for young musicians.
Their success certainly brings a harmonious melody to celebrate—kudos to them and to Middleton High School's music education program for nurturing such remarkable talent!

Join me in congratulating Seniors Isha Chilukuri and Charlotte Kosek for earning the '2024 Student Excellence and Initiative Scholarship' from the Herb Kohl Foundation.

Total Solar Eclipse
On Monday, April 8, 2024, the world was captivated by the total solar eclipse, a rare celestial event that brought awe and wonder to millions. Although the Middleton - Cross Plains area was not on the direct path of totality, residents could witness a partial eclipse, which provided a unique and educational experience.
Our schools were well-prepared to utilize this astronomical event as a learning opportunity.
Northside had a representative from NASA stop by to meet with the 4th-grade class to explain more about solar eclipses. They also provided viewing glasses for the whole school. Many classrooms incorporated the eclipse into their lesson plans, and everyone had the opportunity to watch it outside or via live stream inside. They also made bracelets with solar beads that glow after being in the sun for a bit.
The event was a resounding success, impacting future generations of astronomers, scientists, and curious minds.
