Christina Mand

The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District is honored to welcome Christina (Chris) Mand as the new Director of Student Services. 

Let’s learn more about Chris and her time in education below.

Chris is originally from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She attended UW-Oshkosh and earned her Bachelor’s degree in social work. Chris graduated from UW-Milwaukee with her Master’s degree in social work with an emphasis in clinical social work and school social work. She earned her Educational Leadership certifications from Viterbo University.  

Chris has over 20 years of experience in public education. She spent 14 years as a school social worker in the Verona Area School District and 4 years as a social worker and Transitional Education and Mental Health Coordinator in MCPASD. She transitioned to administration in 2019 when she joined the Waunakee Community School District as Associate Director of Student Services and later Director of Student Services.   

The State Superintendent appointed Chris to serve as a Master Educator Assessor from 2017-2019. She has also served as a grant reviewer with the WI Department of Public Instruction (DPI). She currently serves on the steering committee for the Dane County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative and is co-chair of the Continuum of Care Subcommittee.  

Chris enjoys spending time with family, photography, and reading outside of work. She is thrilled to return to the MCPASD family.

Her first day with the district will be on Monday, August 29th.
