Our District is fortunate to house a diverse group of students and staff. Our equity work doesn't just end in the classroom. We have several clubs and organizations throughout the District that help celebrate our students for what makes them unique.
Recently, Director of Equity and Student Achievement, Percy Brown, spoke with Glacier Creek Black Student Union students during their regular meeting.
Together they discussed the background knowledge behind Black History Month and the changes they would like to see in their school. Brown took this opportunity to remind students that their voice has value.
Students greatly enjoyed having the opportunity to have an open conversation with both Brown and their fellow students.
The BSU greatly appreciated him taking the time to visit and looks forward to welcoming him back soon!
